Master Gardeners at the Astoria Co-op's 52nd Anniversary Party

  • July 19, 2026
  • 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Field next to the Astoria Co-op Parking Lot, 2350 Marine Dr., Astoria, OR 97103

Join the Astoria Co+op for free food and swag, live music, kids’ activities and more at their 52nd anniversary celebration! 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. July 19 at the field across from the co-op. Come celebrate!

The Clatsop County Master Gardener Association will have an educational table led by volunteers Aza Cody and Diane McKenzie featuring information about their ReGrow It! and Nurture through Nature projects.

The "ReGrow It!" project demonstrates ways purchased herbs, fruits and vegetables can re-grow from sprouting seed, stem regeneration and root propagation. With real food props and illustrative slides, ideas will be presented to extend grocery budgets, inspire ingenuity, the novel use of resources, and creative thinking. Attendees will learn to grow it again and save money on produce and plants.

ReGrow It! experiments are economic, easy to start, fun to watch, edible, and there is no failure - only compost! Attendees are encouraged to bring a magnifying glass to get close up perspectives on the wonders of growing plants.

Aza Cody is an artist and writer. Presently she's the Adaptive Innovator at the Alderbrook Learning Garden in Astoria, Oregon. Her experience includes non-profit management and social media platform creation.
