Small pink flowers are produced in Summer.
Herb Usage
Used in culinary dishes especially Mediterranean style food, Marjoram has a much more delicate flavor than its close relation oregano the leaves of which are more likely to be dried and stored. Golden Marjoram is used extensively in Greek and Italian meat dishes, soups, stuffings, tomato sauces and pasta, the leaves are generally used fresh where they are best used towards the end of the cooking process. Leaves can also be used to flavor oil and vinegar.
